The Power of Ten
$450.00
Tithing goes back to the very beginnings of our tradition. The obligation for all farmers to set aside tithes from their produce is a central commandment in the Torah. The concept of monetary tithing is known as Ma’aser Kessafim, and it has remained a voluntary custom. In this print, I have tried to physically capture the idea of abundance promised to those who tithe. The little bill is exactly one tenth in area of the real one. I used it to graphically highlight how little we are actually being asked to give when we tithe. Yet the rewards are huge. The large bill is is exactly ten times the size of the real one to suggest this abundance.
The giclee prints are done on 240 gram Fine Art Paper, limited to 140 copies.
